Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are considered as one of the power couples of Bollywood nowadays but there was a time when Kareena was not sure whether to marry him or not. In fact, she had twice rejected his marriage proposal because she first wanted to know him better.
In an old interview with source, Kareena openly said that Saif came up with the idea of marriage while he was shooting for Tashan in Greece. She said, “He did tell me that ‘I think we should get married’. He told me that in Greece and he told me that in Ladakh as well. And at that time I was like ‘I don’t know because I don’t know you’. So it was not really a ‘no’ but it was more like a ‘I want to know you better”. He added that marrying Saif was the best decision of his life.
However, during an episode of Koffee With Karan, Kareena revealed that she had been warned against marrying him, as he was divorced and had two children from his previous marriage. “I’m glad people are working now and talking more about their love.
When I wanted to marry Saif, everyone was like, ‘She has two children, he’s divorced. Do you really want to do that? ‘ He was like, ‘Your career is over.’ And I was like, ‘Living in love is such a big crime? Getting married is such a big crime? Let’s do it, let’s see what happens,’ ‘said Kareena. Priyanka Chopra, who joined the show with Kareena, She was full of praise, saying that how she ‘carried off her pregnancy’ was unheard of in India.
Saif Ali Khan had earlier married Amrita Singh and they had two children Sara and Ibrahim. Saif and Kareena got married in 2012 and have two children, Taimur and Jeh.
On the work front, Kareena is awaiting the release of her film Laal Singh Chaddha, which will be released in August.
