Saif Ali Khan‘s film Tandav was released in 2021 after much controversy. The show has seemed a bit unfocused in recent episodes. However, there are some updates that may disappoint and upset Tandav fans.
In a recent interview, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, who played Shiva in Tandav, was asked about the show’s sequel. The actor revealed that the shooting has not started yet. “No, we haven’t started shooting,” he told the source.
Asked if there was talk of shooting around Tandav 2, Zeeshan replied in the negative, adding that all actors needed to work on a schedule. Not right now. Ali is also busy shooting another film. Most of the actors have gone on to other projects, so I think that might be the reason. Saif (Ali Khan) is also doing Vikram Vedha. So I think to get everyone together again for two to three months, that is going to be a task for the scheduler,” he said.
Tandav was released in January 2021. It revolves around Samar who kills his own father, Prime Minister Devki Nandan Singh, in a hunger for power. Apart from Saif Ali Khan and Zeeshan Ayyub, the show also starred Sunil Grover, Gauahar Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Dino Morea, Amyra Dastur, Kritika Kamra, Sarah-Jane Dias, Sandhya Mridul, Annup Sonii, Hitten Ttejwani, and Paresh Pahuja also starred in the show.
However, before the show’s release, a major controversy erupted over allegations of insulting religious sentiments. Several FIRs have also been registered against Tandav makers. Amazon Prime Video later issued an apology, saying it was not intended to hurt anyone’s feelings. “Amazon Prime Video regrets once again that viewers found some scenes in the recently launched legendary series”Tandav” objectionable.
It was never our intention, and the scenes that were objected to, when When they were brought to our attention, they were removed or modified. The cast and crew of the series had to apologize twice. Eventually, objectionable parts were removed from the show.
