Actor Chiranjeevi took to Twitter on Wednesday to welcome Salman Khan in his upcoming Telugu political thriller Godfather. Sharing a photo with Salman from the set of the film, Chiranjeevi said that working with Salman is going to be ‘absolutely happy’. In the remake of Malayalam film Lucifer, Salman will be seen playing the role of Prithviraj Sukumaran in Godfather.
The project, directed by Mohan Raja, will be seen in Salman’s first Telugu film. “Welcome aboard Godfather, Bhai @BeingSalmanKhan. Your entry has energized everyone & the excitement has gone to next level. Sharing screen with you is an absolute joy. Your presence will no doubt give that magical kick to the audience,” Chiranjeevi tweeted.

The Godfather has also played a key role in Nayanthara. She will be seen repeating the character of Manju Warrier.
Nayanthara, who joined the set in September 2021, recently completed the shooting of her part for the film. He has teamed up with Satyadev in the film.
Mohan Raja tweeted: “Finished a major schedule today with the lady superstar #Nayanthara for our #Godfather. It’s nothing less than sheer joy n satisfaction working with her for the consecutive third time.”
Along with the tweet, Mohan also shared a photo with Nayanthara from the set. Mohan Raja is back in Telugu cinema after a decade with Godfather.
Chiranjeevi, meanwhile, is currently awaiting the release of filmmaker Koratala Siva’s Acharya, in which he is rumored to play a dual role. Ram Charan is also in the lead role in the film.
Acharya, according to reports, will be about a middle-aged Naxalite-turned-social reformer who starts a fight against the endowment department over misuse and embezzlement of temple funds and donations.
Acharya will be the first time Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan will be seen together in a full role. Chiranjeevi had made a cameo in Ram Charan’s Telugu film Bruce Lee: The Fighter a few years back.
Chiranjeevi has two more projects. Recently, it was announced that he would be working on a Telugu remake of the Tamil film Vedalam. The project is named Bhola Shankar, and Keerthy Suresh is also playing her sister.
